Extended Campus Program (ECP)

The Extended Campus Program enables students to work toward the Master of Arts in Christian Education degree while completing most classroom work from home. If you work as a staff member or volunteer in your church’s educational ministries, Union-PSCE’s Extended Campus Program offers the education you need to respond more fully to God’s call. While you live and work at home, the Extended Campus Program enables you to earn a graduate degree in educational ministry through part-time study; update your professional knowledge and skills; and fulfill course requirements for certification as a Christian educator in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.).

Most students in the Extended Campus Program already work in some form of educational ministry in their home congregations. ECP courses are the same courses offered in the residential master of arts curriculum at Union-PSCE, but the structure and format has been modified to accommodate the needs of students who cannot relocate or enroll in a full-time residential program.

Extended Campus Program students complete the majority of their coursework from home. The program includes an on-site component of eight to ten days each term at the historic Union-PSCE campus in Richmond, Virginia.
