Degree Programs

Extended Campus Program students work toward a Master of Arts in Christian Education (M.A.C.E.) degree by completing much of their coursework from home. The program includes an on-site component of eight to ten days each term at Union-PSCE’s historic campus in Richmond, Virginia.

Extended Campus Program (ECP)

At-Home
Students complete approximately six-weeks of independent study at their homes in preparation for the on-campus dimension of the Extended Campus Program. A course syllabus guides their reading and other assignments. E-mail or online interaction with professors or other class members may be required, depending on the course and the professor.

On-Campus
The on-campus session features classes on the Richmond campus of Union-PSCE. Most classes meet for three hours daily. There are worship services, meals, and informal opportunities to interact with other students and those on campus. Students make full use of the William Smith Morton Library and other seminary resources.

After-Campus
For approximately five weeks following the end of the on-campus session, students may be assigned summary projects, papers, and reflections that link their course work to the life of congregations or to other areas of ministry.

  • The Winter term ECP begins in October and ends in March.
    The on-campus portion is January 15-23, 2008.
