Master of Divinity/Master of Arts in Christian Education (dual degree)

The Master of Divinity / Master of Arts in Christian Education dual degree (M.Div./M.A.C.E.) combines the strengths of both degrees to prepare students for pastoral educational ministry. Students earn both a master of divinity and a master of arts in Christian education degree in four years. Graduates often serve as associate pastors of Christian education, youth ministers, campus ministers, camp and conference center directors, solo pastors with wide-ranging responsibilities, and in other roles.

Requirements for Graduation

A student must take 28 required courses (including language courses) and at least 12 elective courses. A minimum of four years of full-time study is necessary to complete the dual degree program.

Each M.Div./M.A.C.E. level student shall participate in an assessment process, as described in the Student Handbook. This assessment process provides structured opportunities that support intentional, reflective integration of the academic work of students with their personal, spiritual, and vocational formation.
