Core Degree Programs at Union-PSCEĀ
To apply for the
M.Div., M.A.C.E., M.A.T.S, Extended Campus Program, and dual degree programs listed below, complete the following tasks.
Instructions:
- Our application and other admission forms are only available in PDF format.
- You must print out the forms, fill them out by hand, and mail them.
- Please include the application fee with your application form.
- We have a PDF version of each form available.
- Each PDF form will open in a separate browser window.
- Close the window when you are finished.

- Print and complete the Application form (pdf).
- Write a 500- to 800-word essay on one of the following:
- Describe your reasons for pursuing theological education, your perceptions of your gifts for service in the church and the world, and your thoughts about areas for further growth.
- Describe an experience that was life-changing. What impact did it have on your understanding of Christian faith and community? How has this experience informed your vocational discernment?
- Write a 500- to 800-word essay on one of the following:
- Which book of the Bible has had an especially important impact on your life and why? How has this book contributed to the development of your faith and to your practice of the Christian life?
- What book of the Bible have you struggled with most and why?
- Application fee of $60.00 must be included when mailing the application.
- Please send the Personal Evaluation Forms to three (3) references. They should be non-family: a pastor or church educator, a professor or someone who can comment on your academic ability, plus one other. Use the Personal Evaluation Form (pdf)
- You must request that each institution send an official transcript of academic work to the Admissions Office. If you already have an official sealed transcript, submit it with your application materials. Please send transcripts of all academic work beyond the high school level whether or not a degree was awarded.
Graduates of Union-PSCE who are applying for another degree plan need to request a transcript from the Registrar. Use the Transcript form (pdf);
- M.Div applicant must ordinarily submit a Letter of Acknowledgement signed by the person, committee or other entity responsible for the process of ordaining minister in their denomination. M.A.C.E. applicants from other countries must include a letter from a denominational official indicating endorsement of their studies in the US.

Our financial aid application period for the 2008-2009 academic year has closed. The aid application period for the 2009-2010 academic year will begin in early March of 2009, and the 2009-2010 Application for Need-Based Aid will be posted to this web site in early March of 2009. Please check this web site in early March for financial aid application information for the 2009-2010 academic year.
- Forms for the next academic year are available after Febuary 1 each year. Students must be admitted before a need-based financial aid application will be evaluated.
- The deadline to be admitted and to submit an application for need-based aid is the last Friday of May.
Charlotte students may contact Tom Currie, Dean, Union-PSCE for information concerning the Matching Grant Fund.
- Forms for the next academic year are available after January 2 each year.
- Students must be admitted before a need-based financial aid application will be evaluated. The deadline to be admitted and to submit an application for need-based aid is the last Friday of May.
- For international students:
Union-PSCE seeks to admit those international students who plan to serve the global church. All applicants from other countries must cover their own living expenses at minimum. They must submit a International Student Certification of Finances form (pdf) with bank statements showing available funds from each source of assistance.
International students who do not speak, write, and read English as their first language are required to submit scores from the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with minimum scores as follows:
TOEFL — 550 (paper-based test)
Essay rating — 4.0
TOEFL — 79.0-80.0 (internet)
A letter of endorsement from your denomination.
