Welcome to the Office of Field Education and Placement online! If you have found your way to this site, you are most likely in the process of seeking a person to serve in your church or agency. You have come to the right place. Students who graduate from Union-PSCE are among the finest in the country. Here they have been studying and growing in their faith for two to four years in a collegial environment that is rich in tradition, scholarship, and community.
To assist you in using this placement site, here are a few things you need to know.
- Our graduating students represent many different denominations. As a seminary of the PC(USA), the majority of students are Presbyterian, but United Methodists, Episcopalians, Baptists, Lutherans, and other faiths are also represented on campus.
- Students who are seeking their first call are invited to write a Profile, a narrative document that describes their interests, skills, and sense of call to congregations and agencies who are seeking staff. We invite you to read our student's Profiles. In order to protect our student's privacy, we have password-protected these documents. Please call us at 804.278.4220 or email us at ofep@union-psce.edu and we will be happy to provide you with the username and password needed to access the documents.
- We invite you to come to our campus to conduct interviews. Our staff will be happy to help you make arrangements and advise you on how to maximize your visit. Call us at 804.278.4220 for more information.
- We want to share information about your vacancy with our students. You may post information in our Ministry Opportunities area. Our students visit these postings regularly, so this is the best way to get word of your search out to them.
- Feel free to contact our students using the contact information that is provided on their Profile.
