Join The Feast: Our Gift to You! 

Lectionary resource for teaching, preaching, and worship preparation.

We appreciate your readership for the past year. As of November 15, 2009, Join the Feast is no longer posting new entries. Check back in the future as we hope to resume publications.

“Join the Feast” combines biblical scholarship with the real-life experiences of the exegete to form a weekly “banquet” of choice insights for use in the classroom and the pulpit.  In addition, the information is posted to a blog that the larger community can access and use to participate in discussion over the internet.
In summary, the format of each weekly entry is as follows:

1. “Gleanings from text” — exegetical points from lectionary pericope
2. “Food for thought”— key themes that connect text to modern world
3. “Sink your teeth into this!”— real life application from the experience and context of that week’s author
4. “Enjoying the Meal”— an on-line, interactive blog in which the community of Union-PSCE can engage one another, bounce ideas, support each other, and pray for one another!

The goals of this initiative are:

1. Serve as a resource for preaching and teaching biblical materia1
2. Connect people across the country in conversation
3. Assist the proclamation of the Living Word in the modern world
